Executive recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in the chemical industry. Our respected client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to support growth and development of the company. The job is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The CFO (M&A) will work closely with the CEO/President and board of directors to evaluate and analyze potential merge and acquisition projects to explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks. This position will play an important role in the company’s economic growth for professional seeking an attractive and challenging career.

Job responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and consider potential merge and acquisitions projects and demonstrate the value of a new purchase to shareholders 
  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of the organization with regards to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of the executive management team
  • Establish and develop relations with senior management, external partners and stakeholders
  • Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company’s plans for growth and expansion
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting data for federal funders, founders, investors and the company’s board of directors
  • Review all formal accounting and supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all databases, systems, and financial software
  • Oversee and review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation
  • Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
  • Monitor compliance by company employees with established procedures
  • Identify areas of recurrent pressure
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
  • Manage preparation and support of all external audits

Job requirements:

  • Extensive accounting and financial controlling experience
  • Experience in handling merger and acquisition projects is a must 
  • Experience working with a listed company will be an advantage
  • Exceptional accounting and financial knowledge, CPA preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinkers who are driven by results and can innovate and develop creative business and financial solutions
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
