Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of an in-land container service in Asia. Our respected client is seeking a hands-on leader with people oriented professional for the job of General Manager. This role serves as an owner representative to manage its subsidiary terminal service company in Bangkok. Candidate will monitor overall performance and development strong connection with partners to meet company’s objectives.

The General Manager leads overall operations management and B2B sales and marketing functions for a subsidiary company. Ideal candidate will support executives and management team in accomplishing business goals and increase market share in Thailand. This is a key strategic business partnering role to manage commercial activities in Thailand.

Job responsibilities

  • Will act as the key communicator to contact and coordinate between clients, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Actively uncovering new business potential and acquiring new customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with the existing customers.
  • Work closely with customers and provide sustainable solutions for them through the introduction of the company’s service
  • Supply chain management: Manage day-to-day local/int'l operations, import and export.
  • Monitor and update all routing orders, daily loading & delivery reports.
  • Maintain and development corporate image and reputation as well as protect and development company's brands using suitable public relation activities management
  • Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development.
  • Make joint sales visits to customers with sales representatives / account owners occasionally to solicit feedback to improve service level and able to meet customers’ needs
  • Search for business opportunities to improve company’s net return

Job Requirement

  • Thai nationality, Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, supply chain, or management and transportation knowledge preferred.
  • Extensive years of experience in the sales or business development and operations management in seaport and container service.
  • Strong contract negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to persuade an audience.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to learn complex tasks quickly
  • Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Team leader with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment
  • Fluency in written and oral communication (English)
