Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing freight forwarder in Asia. Our respected client is seeking a dynamic sale oriented professional for the job of Country Representative. This role serves as an owner representative to manage agencies and sales activities in Thailand. Candidate will monitor and development local performance to meet company’s objectives. The job is based in Bangkok.

The Country Representative and Business Development Manager leads overall B2B sales and marketing functions for Thailand market. Ideal candidate will support executives and management team in accomplishing business goals and increase market share in Thailand. This is a key strategic business partnering role to manage commercial activities in Thailand.

Job responsibilities

  • Acts on behalf of management team from HQ in dealing with all assignments of local operations and sales department.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities in Thailand’s market.
  • Look for new customers and build up strong sales pipeline.
  • Select and manage external agencies: Establishment new agencies, auditing and approving either exclusive or non-exclusive agency agreements as well as gaining best net / buying rates from our agents' network.
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signing in order to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support.
  • Supply chain management: Manage day-to-day local/int'l operations, import and export.
  • Monitor and update all routing orders, daily loading & delivery reports.
  • Maintain and development corporate image and reputation as well as protect and development company's brands using suitable public relation activities management
  • Plan and implement sales and customer retention and development.
  • Make joint sales visits to customers with sales representatives / account owners occasionally to solicit feedback to improve service level and able to meet customers’ needs
  • Search for business opportunities to improve company’s net return.

Job requirements

  • Thai nationality, Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, or management and transportation knowledge preferred.
  • Extensive experience in the sales or business development in freight forwarder and Container Transportation for ocean field.
  • Strong contract negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to persuade an audience.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to learn complex tasks quickly
  • Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment
  • Fluency in written and oral communication (English)
