Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading national property development company in Indonesia. Our respected client is seeking a qualified finance professional with exposure in accounting and tax with at least 8 years’ experience in construction for the job of Finance Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Company’s budgeting and forecasting process, analyse actual financial performance against budget forecast, and work closely with key business partners in achieving Company targets
  • Coordinating on the preparation and reviewing of all necessary documents for the whole transaction process in accordance with relevant compliance standards and local regulatory and legal requirements
  • Responsible for month end closing and accounts review process, reporting to owner.
  • Ensure internal controls on banking and payments are being adhered to and regularly reviewed, and all payment details are reviewed prior to submission for payment.
  • Responsible for tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing and ensure full VAT recovery on imports and purchases, where applicable.
  • Review and approval of monthly payroll files and withholding tax calculations
  • Responsible for all project costs and ensuring that the project is running in most efficient manner.
  • Responsible for Capital and investment cost control
  • Manage and resolve any issues to ensure operational efficiency and project execution is running well.
  • Review all sales and margin reports and ensure margins are maintained at agreed levels.
  • Review and approval of purchase orders and ensure integrity of contractors or any external partner pricing
  • Coordinating on the preparation and reviewing of all necessary documents for the whole transaction process in accordance with relevant compliance standards and local regulatory and legal requirements
  • Drive strong internal controls, ensure Company policies and procedures are followed, and provide recommendations to improve Company internal controls and processes
  • Responsible for regular review of Bills of Material for accurate costing and reasonableness.
  • Perform ad-hoc assignments as required

Key job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, business, or finance related fields
  • At least 8 years’ experience in senior finance role in construction business with exposure from various projects, such as industrial, residential, and commercial buildings.
  • Confident and good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent Indonesian and English (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytic skills, highly motivated and results oriented
  • Multi-tasking capabilities and dealing well under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant exterior
