Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading Sports & Toys Retailer and Distributor in Thailand. 

The Financial Controller will manage all Finance, Accounting and Tax, while supporting functions such as HR, IT, Inventory Control and Supply Chain within the company's vision, values and guidelines. They will furthermore work to ensure all applicable government regulations are met, with the objective providing accurate and timely financial information to management.

Job responsibilities:

  • Directly control the preparation of expenditures budget and forecast, management reports, financial planning and analyses, control implementation and report variances
  • Communicate to Management, in order to ensure cost effectiveness and help the company to grow the brand portfolio
  • Manage the daily Finance and Accounting operations 
  • Manage the financial strategy of the organisation, with focus on data analytics, to support decision making
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, as well as handling the tax audits
  • Deal with auditors with the issuance of audit reports 
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of HR policies/programs in order to ensure all HR strategies and processes are executed properly, aligning with business needs and supporting the achievement of the company’s profit target
  • Monitor inventory control to ensure effective levels of inventory, reducing the company's potential losses 
  • Oversee Supply Chain activities, maintaining relations and deals, and monitoring negotiations with suppliers
  • Review Supply Chain reports in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage efficient, effective, stable, and reliable hardware and software for office and store needs, as per standard and business needs

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance, or equivalent
  • More than 5 years of overall combined Accounting, Tax and Operational Financial Controller experience, with a recent role at management level
  • CPA or CMA is preferred
  • Finance Planning & Analysis or Business Analytics experience is preferred
  • Understanding of, and comfortable with, ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Knowledge of consignment business in retail is an advantage 
  • Experience with creating financial statements, General Ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and payroll process and procedures
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
  • Problem solving and analytical planning abilities
  • Good relationship with regional banks is a plus
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial mindset
