Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a high growth regulatory approved online training and certification company with offices in USA, Pakistan, and Manila. This leader in online training and certification across a wide range of industries and professions is looking for a Frontend Developer who must be motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming and also possesses great communication skills. This job is a Temporary WFH set up, 6pm-3am shift (possible shifting schedule) and office is located in BGC, Taguig City, Philippines.

Job summary:

Our dear client is looking for a Front-End Developer to join their growing team in Manila, Philippines. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

Front-end Developer who will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of web design and user experience requirements, optimizing web pages for maximum efficiency, designing web-related content such as user-interactive activities, web-based simulations and games.

Regardless of web designing, the candidate must have knowledge on editing audios, photos, videos and have a grip on storytelling/creating ideas on their own. Command over English language and ability to edit content as per needs, is a plus.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Creating and optimizing assets for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Ensuring user experience determines design choices
  • Maintaining brand consistency throughout the design
  • Build high-quality mockups and design different prototypes.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Listening to feedback and altering existing or newly created HTML files as needed
  • Design themes, activities, and games for HTML-based courses
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends including HTML, DHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, SQL and Bootstrap framework
  • Inter-departmental activities such as writing front-end codes to develop improvements, designing themes and features for the learning management system
  • Edit content at basic level and data entry of the course work file into the content management system as part of build the course

Key job requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s in computer sciences, Degree/Diploma in web development and/or programming from a reputable institution or any other equivalent degree is preferred.
  • Other areas of study providing similar skill sets and experience can be also considered.
  • Candidate with at least two year of working experience in any relevant industry providing similar skill sets required by the job will be given preference.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the required core competencies at the expected proficiency level including proficiency with HTML, DHTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax and Bootstrap framework
  • Hands on experience with markup languages
  • Knowledge of database design with SQL (Structured Query Language) is a plus.
  • XML understanding is a plus
  • Understanding of server-side CSS.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript libraries and frameworks, including jQuery
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics and basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Design mobile-based features
  • Should be able to create ideas on their own or from reading scripts
  • Knowledge of illustration, photo-editing and photo-manipulation is a plus but not required
