Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a Financial Technology company in Indonesia. Our respected client is seeking a Legal professional with at least around 7 years of. experience for the position of General Counsel. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia. 

Safeguard the Company’s interest by providing advice on legal aspects in contractual relationships between the Company and other parties and complying with internal policies and applicable laws.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pre and post contract activities which include drafting, reviewing and managing agreements, correspondences, claims and other contractual matters
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies 
  • Keep abreast of law and regulation development and changes, and conduct legal research on matters which may affect the company’s business and operations activities
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and assistance for negotiation and implementation of contracts and other arrangements entered by the company

Job Requirements

  • At least 7 years legal working experience ideally in technology or other regulated industry in Indonesia. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and experience with Indonesian authorities. 
  • Have good basic understanding of the Indonesian law.
  • Strong leadership, good presentation and communication skills, team player, self-starter, conscientious, thorough, tidy, capable of working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • “Can Do” attitude, and the drive, resourcefulness and the ability to get tasks/deals done.
  • Good planning, communication and organization skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract law and telecommunication law. Knowledge and experience in litigation practice will be a strong plus.
  • Good communication skills with high level of fluency in English and Indonesian language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio).
  • Ability to provide legal advice and draft contracts that address complex and difficult issues.
