Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a young but dynamically and fast-growing Group which is involved in the Manufacturing, distribution sales and service of Industrial and commercial HVAC systems and much more. Our respected client specializes in the manufacturing and supply of HVAC system such as chillers, coolers, air-conditionings, refrigeration equipment’s & systems and ACMV systems both at a local and international stage. Our client is seeking an experienced manager with a strong background in chemical engineering and dealing with water treatment plants to join them as a General Manager.

Job summary:

The General Manager will be responsible for the entire management and profitability of the company’s new subsidiary. The role will be reporting to the Group Managing Director and will focus on providing consultancy services to new and existing customers. The winning candidate will be involved in new business development, operations, consultancy work as well as liaising with different stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Overall management and growth of the subsidiary.
  • Responsible to work closely with top management in spearheading the new subsidiary and grow its operations
  • Plan, develop, implement, to grow the agreed company’s business plan in line with strategies to achieve overall direction of the subsidiary.
  • Offer consultancy service to new and existing customers on the maintenance of cooling towers
  • Work closely with different subsidiaries to tie up consultancy services to existing product line
  • To eventually lead and direct a team of sales staffs in penetrating target markets and meeting annual sales targets, developing new opportunities and enhancing customer relationship.
  • Accountable for developing the headcount of the department and establish a foothold with its target market
  • To identify, adapt and implement methods and system for the improvement of the company’s efficiency and availability.
  • To provide leadership and direction to your team of key managers and to optimize all resources for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in the tender of projects & calculate project costing & serve as the technical know-how in the process.

Key job requirements include:

  • At least 10 years of operation management to the Water Treatment / Cooling Tower industry
  • Min Degree in Chemical, Electrical Engineering and relevant fields.
  • Strong sales management skills.
  • Good in business deal negotiation
  • Proven track record in sales
  • Currently in Sales job, a Senior Sales Manager and ready to be General Manager
  • Committed / energetic and possess management and organizational skills.
  • A leadership style that is rooted in ownership, passion, teamwork, innovation and collaboration
  • Independent, initiative, result oriented and target driven.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Able to travel outstation & occasionally travel to overseas.
