Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Health Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in Pharmaceutical industry. Our esteemed client focuses on serving clients within Pharmaceutical sector in providing the most comprehensive solutions.

The General Manager’s primary role is to drive the local health strategy, oversee the P&L, and ensure profitability whilst developing a high-performing and dynamic team.

Job responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement effective commercial strategies by achieving company's overall revenue on assigned chain(s) via close supervision and direct working relationship the team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and clear business communication strategy.
  • Responsible for overall company’s performance to meet annual budget and financial forecast requirements as well as P&L management.
  • Manage and execute sales & marketing approach, customer mix and volume mix to optimize profitability and fulfil overall goals.
  • Develop and executive objectives, promote teamwork and continuously motivates the team to deliver overall team mission and goals.
  • Develop a network of contacts throughout the Customer’s organisation internally and externally in order to influence all decision points within the customer(s), improve understanding, increase data access and ensure frequent face-to-face contact.
  • Conduct business development activities towards new products and new customers. Develop the business case, scoping product briefs, and manage product delivery to client satisfaction. 
  • Develop country processes that drive efficiencies and produce outcomes. 
  • Prepare and conduct any annual negotiations. Supervise other types of negotiation (new products, shelf management and to ensure timely resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship and collaboration within sales and related functional such as Marketing, Logistics, Product, Operations, Service, Innovation HR, IT, Finance and Supply Chain

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 10+ years in a management role in within Pharmaceutical or Consumer Health industry.
  • Proven commercial track record, strategic leader with proven people management capabilities.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, relationship management and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to details with strong initiative and driving innovative solutions.
