Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the largest online hotel booking platforms in Southeast Asia. Our respected client is one of the fastest growing business in the industry and they are expanding their business globally. They are currently seeking a sales and marketing professional for the job of Head of Business Development based in Visayas region.

Job Summary

The Head of Business Development is responsible for leading the business development team to create an end-to-end strategy and execution plan for the team of business development executives.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of business development.
  • Develop holistic business development understanding of the market and craft a successful go-to-market strategy
  • Deliver on the supply targets and country expansion plan as per the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Provide training and mentorship, thereby enabling the Business Development Team to gain industry knowledge.
  • Conduct regular performance management exercises for all Business Development Managers.
  • Drive changes to existing business development systems and processes as per local market requirements
  • Collaborate with central teams such as Business Development, Operations, Finance, Human Resources etc. to ensure smooth business conduct.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Degree in any field
  • A minimum of 8 years of high-quality experience in sales, business development, operations or partnerships
  • Possess wide Philippine market knowledge is a must
  • Hospitality, FMCG, or Telco industry experience is an advantage
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial or early stage start up environment is preferred
  • Analytically strong and ability to structure and negotiate complex deals
  • Demonstrated ability in hiring, building and leading large teams
  • Mature, professional and has ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with clients
  • High degree of ownership, roll-up-your-sleeve attitude
  • Willingness to get tasks completed
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional setups requiring the candidate to collaborate with multiple teams locally as well as globally
