Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of a reputable asset management company in Malaysia mainly focusing on management of unit trust funds and portfolio management since 2007. Over the years, the company has built a strong portfolio managing assets and funds for various public and private clients. Due to the company’s growth, they are actively seeking a professional with at least 5 years of experience for the exciting job as a Head of Operations. This job is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Head of Operations responsibilities include designing policies, overseeing customer service and implementing technology solutions. The winning candidate should be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind, as well as have a broad knowledge of the business.

Job responsibilities:

  • Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of fund management to ensure smooth progress.
  • Supervise staffs from different departments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Manage fund reporting software and system processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
  • Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Review financial information and manage financial statement to be distributed to clients.
  • Revise and/or formulate operational policies and promote their implementation.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors.
  • Evaluate overall operational performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Ensure that the company operation runs with compliance, legality and conformity to established industrial regulations.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in fund management industry handling unit trust and private mandate fund.
    Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, independent.
  • Responsible, independent and able to adapt to changes.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English – strong verbal & written.
