Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a well-established packaging manufacturing companies in Asia. Our respected client is seeking a customer and detailed oriented professional for the job of Head of Quality Assurance. This role serves as a primary liaison on matters regarding the company’s product, field quality, manufacturing quality, and customer’s complaints. The job is based in Bangkok.

The Head of Quality Assurance leads implement and execution of quality assurance operations strategies and customer’s responses programs across all plants. Primary focus of this position is to standardize inspection and customer’s handling process under quality department in all plants with a heavy focus on operational excellence using collected data from stakeholders. This position requires the improvement of corporate standards for product and material acceptance and testing and verification processes

Job responsibilities

  • Execute both product and material quality strategies to implement process change that drives improvements across all plants.
  • Lead customer quality-focused improvement programs. Positively differentiate the company’s current products and procedures by implementing new/enhanced quality practices that result in customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deploy policy, goals, and methods to ensure compliance with internal and customer’s quality standard and management systems.
  • Publish aligned quality metrics, measurement, and monitoring of quality system effectiveness to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Collects data and insights from operations to identify root causes of problems.
  • Be a data driven leader that utilize data from all parties. Consolidates, analyses, and reports quality metrics on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement; lead review of quality metrics and use disciplined root cause and problem solving methodologies to identify, implement and correct/prevent actions as well as lessons learned within the business unit.
  • Establish and develop strong working relationships with internal units and external customers to work with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals for all plant under the group.
  • Coach direct report to facilitate gap analysis sessions and own the solution implementation for future state processes.
  • Provides project / process management consulting, coaching, and training to business teams across different disciplines.
  • Provide progress updates to executive leadership team to communicate progress

Job requirements

  • Proven success in managing a large quality organization.
  • Experience gained from an industrial organization with well-established quality programs.
  • Experience establishing a Quality function where it has not existed in the past, including creating effective systems and processes from scratch.
  • Ability to make complex decisions by utilizing personal wisdom and experience to come to the best conclusion and solution given the situation; uses multiple problem-solving tools and techniques.
  • Ability to form relationships at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong communication skills and strong ability to address multiple tasks.
  • Possess analytical problem solving, creative thinking skills, excellent verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in data, technology, and willingness to learn about products and customer needs
