Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a multinational automotive company that specialises in manufacturing commercial as well as passenger vehicles. As a major player in the automotive industry, our client is seeking a sales executive with at least 10 years’ experience handling principle automotive products for the job of Head of Sales. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Job summary

Reporting immediately to the President Director, the Head of Sales will be responsible for all sales. This is an excellent job opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious senior salesperson to forge a rich and rewarding career with a great company in a major industry.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Develop & implement various sales policies & sales promotion schemes for retail, rural & corporate sale
  • Develop relevant sales schemes & strategies (for retail, corporate & fleet sales) to achieve sales/ market share goals
  • Develop sales systems & processes for increased efficiency of operations & satisfaction of dealers & customers
  • Set up sales plan by model & month (wholesale & retail )
  • Develop market information sources & make useful forecasts for effective management information
  • Ensure efficient production planning , forecasting & product mix so as to maximize profits and minimize
  • Establish strategy for delivering cars to customer at right time at right cost
  • Plan & request & monitor transporting vehicles to dealers
  • Estimates volumes of transporting each month based on production schedules & wholesale target
  • Appointment of New Dealerships, Performance Review of Dealerships and ensuring corrective action plan
  • Enhancing Dealers competiveness to improve customer satisfaction and Dealership profitability
  • Network optimization based on SPD(Sales per Dealer) and potential of each market
  • New schemes and programs to enhance M/S and presence in domestic market with support from various departments
  • Take immediate steps and management support in containing any potential harm to business and product competitiveness
  • Network expansion request & decision for each market and finalisation of new Dealer candidates
  • Motivation of manpower at dept., regional & dealer level for overall achievement of goals

Key job requirements include:

  • Degree, Master’s preferred
  • 10+ year experience in the automotive industry as a part of the sales department leadership
  • Strong network in automotive industry
  • Must be based in the Jakarta area
  • Knowledge of automobile sales with an in-depth understanding of car sales process: retail & wholesale Sales Planning, Data interpretation and Analysis, Sales Forecasting,
  • Production Planning, Logistics, Dealer development.
  • Document Action Level: PowerPoint (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), Word (upper intermediate)
  • Fluent command of the English language is a must, but Korean speakers will be prioritised.
  • Certificate or licence related to data analysis
  • Certificate of Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and encourage a team
  • Years of experience encompassing Retail, Corporate & Fleet Sales, Dealer Development & Management, Dealer claims& functions at Sales & Marketing HQ of major car manufacturer with exposure to service & marketing domains
  • Goal-oriented, charismatic sales personality with Analytical skillset
