Executive recruitment specialist Monroe Consulting Group Vietnam is recruiting on behalf of an investment fund. Our client is seeking a HR Director to be based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The HR Director will be responsible for all aspects of the HR function, working directly with the CEO and Investment Director to develop and implement a sound HR policy, set up and enhance HR systems and processes, and provide other employee services, not only to the current holding company team but all the investee companies in the current portfolio.

Job responsibilities:

  • Plan and facilitate the HR Strategic planning process, ensuring that comprehensive strategies, plans and budgets are developed, approved and communicated
  • Work with management executives and other C-levels within the group to ensure alignment with business strategic priorities and provide relevant consultancy to help the business achieve its goals
  • Manage & fulfil workforce requirements according to actual and future needs
  • Deliver, supervise and ensure high quality of employee life cycle management (recruitment, on-boarding, retention, exit interview)
  • Work on talent management and succession planning, identifying talents, tracking development activities, and periodically conducting succession reviews to ensure a sufficient workforce pool for future sustainability
  • Provide coaching and training to staff regarding objective setting
  • Evaluate staff performance and collaborate with related stakeholders to identify skill gaps and propose career development plans
  • Develop employee recognition programs and engagement activities to ensure staff are motivated, engaged and committed to the growth of the business
  • Responsible for employee relations related to performance improvement and employee disciplinary, acting as contact point to address employee issues and concerns

Job requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in similar positions, preferable with a background in holdings companies
  • Ability to quickly understand the business strategy and team dynamics and apply the knowledge in selecting and developing talent
  • Solid knowledge of KPI setting and measurement
  • Experience in job evaluation, building competitive compensation, benefit structures, and HR policiy best practices
  • Demonstrates resiliency working in an environment of ambiguity, constant change and conflicting priorities
