Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of one of the leading private hospitals in the Philippines. Our respected client is seeking a professional with strong strategic and functional expertise in all the HR disciplines. The job is based in Meycauayan Bulacan and will directly report to the President of the company.

The HR Head will act as a business partner to management and should understand the requirements of the organisation, creating and developing the necessary HR programs that would equip the employees with the skills and competencies, as well as the right attitude and work ethic, that would support the attainment of the company’s vision and business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles
  • Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Provides guidance and direction to the HR staff to ensure they are able to provide the HR requirements of the employee force 
  • Acts as liaison between Management and the employees and addresses issues and concerns raised by both parties 
  • Develops and implements an effective career management/development program 
  • Creates or updates personnel policies and procedures to ensure that the programs are compliant to regulatory requirements and labour laws, aligned with existing business/market practices 
  • Acts as subject matter expert in the interpretation of HR programs and practices 
  • Looks into the skill levels of employees and recommends training and development programs as needed
  • Spearheads employee relations programs to develop a culture of belonging in the organisation and create a sense of engagement to all employees
  • Regularly reviews the organisation structure and delineation of roles to ensure that they are fair and clear to all concerned

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as HR Head/HR Manager in a hospital setting
  • Must be familiar with labour laws and standards as well as with the different mandatory government benefits 
  • Strong proficiency in MS office, particularly MS Excel 
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation skills 
  • Good communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be knowledgeable in the different functions of HR: recruitment, labour relations, employee relations, organisational development, and training 
  • Must have prior experience recruiting company nurses 
  • High degree of integrity and the ability to keep things in confidence 
  • Must be able to provide strategic directions and tactical guidance to Management and the HR team 
  • Must be able to interact comfortably with all levels in the organisation
  • Must be flexible and open to other functions which may be assigned 
  • Must be willing to work from Mondays to Saturdays
