Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a well-established packaging manufacturing company. Our respected client is seeking a people oriented professional for the job of Plant HR Manager under 1-year contract with a strong possibility of going permanent. This role serves as HR representative in Thailand to deploy global strategies, implement effective performance management tool, and develop rewarding system to be in aligned with company’s objectives. The job is based in Bangkok.

HR Manager is responsible for all facets of human resources in Thailand, with an emphasis in recruitment, payroll, compensation & benefits, learning & development, performance management and retention program. The ideal candidate will design suitable organizational development, talent management strategy and lead overall humane resources for plants. He or she needs to support regional and global offices on full spectrum of HR programs that align with global business objectives

Job responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy and objectives into HR goals, plans and tactics that are aligned with the plants business demands and policies.
  • Develop programs, policies and procedures based on business needs and HR strategy by working with regional HR Operations Manager,
  • Advise and support management teams and individual managers in all local HR-related issues that drive business performance.
  • Provide HR processes and tools that enable the plant to reach its mission.
  • Monitor the competency levels of employees and make sure that there are adequate resource levels to deliver consistent and excellent services.
  • Drive cultural change, change management, and define succession planning with business heads
  • Oversee the development and implementation of company core values, and key performance measures into the performance management system
  • Communicate relevant HR information and updates to the management and ensuring that this information is cascaded down to all levels properly
  • Deploy global policies & procedures and HR strategies to achieve local corporate and business objective.
  • Build strong relationships and trust with leaders and colleagues, offer HR expertise and coaching on people issues, assist leaders from different plant to gain better understanding of employee's needs and career aspirations.
  • Manage a variety of human resource-related programs to ensure that the organization’s current and future human resource requirements are met and that employees are recruited, managed, organized, trained, evaluated, and rewarded in accordance with organization’s human resource strategy

Job Requirements

  • Graduated Bachelor’s degree or above, with preference in Human Resources, Laws, or HR related major.
  • Hands on HR operations management experience from multinational company, with direct working experience from manufacturing industry.
  • Worked in a matrix organization before and must have a level of business acumen such as knowledge of P&L levers.
  • Ability to perform basic analysis of labour costs, HR budget
  • Experience in Safety, Environmental Sustainability or Manufacturing Operation will be advantage.
  • Proven credibility with leadership and HR peers, whereby you can partner and ensure HR Shared Services supports the business for success and high performance.
  • Ability to manage high workloads & conflicting priorities, both in support of the HR team and their respective business units alongside all employees.
  • Collaborative style and a good team player.
