Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group are recruiting on behalf of a local FMCG distribution company which has been operating since 2003. They have 2 main businesses: healthcare informatics and medical devices provider, and FMCG distribution of own and imported products. They also have ventured into the F&B sector. 

The HR Manager will manage activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development and talent management while promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture. The job is based in Pasig City. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management


Job requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Psychology or related field
  • Minimum 8 years’ work experience
  • Proven working experience as HR manager or HR Supervisor
  • Preferably with experience working in family-owned businesses and with distribution companies
  • Preferably with experience working in a start-up culture
  • People oriented and results driven, with great interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases (i.e. HRIS)
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • Knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Must be willing to work in Pasig City from Mondays to Fridays (9am to 6pm) and Saturdays (9am to 1pm)
