Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Technology Division is recruiting on behalf of a technology company that developed performance and monitoring software to improve the productivity for enterprise and government agencies. Our client is a growing organization with regional headquarters in Singapore, Vienna, Dubai, Houston and innovation offices based in Kuala Lumpur and India. As the company growing success on some of their products, they would like to ensure their innovation to scale optimally and effectively to meet the future demand. therefore, they are looking to bring onboard an IT Infrastructure Support Engineer as new head count for Malaysia office in Kuala Lumpur.

This IT Infrastructure Support Engineer will be the key person in Malaysia office to support IT Infrastructure delivery and management. The prospect candidate should be ideally someone who are experienced in managing IT Application Infrastructure, and familiar with Linux and AWS ecosystem. The primary focus in to ensure the current IT infrastructure is at its optimal operations, at the same time taking part of the R&D team to improve the IT infrastructure to sustain the growth of the company products. This role is a permanent hire and open for remote on-boarding but under Kuala Lumpur office. This role shall be report directly to the Head of R&D.

Job responsibilities:

  • To be the subject matter of expert in deploying a resilient and scalable Infrastructure
  • Identifying potential IT infrastructure issue and conduct troubleshooting 
  • Working in-offshore infra and support teams across the region
  • Review, release, configure and patch management for any Linux-based OS
  • Configure, manage and using AWS and 3rd Party monitoring tools (Prometheus, Zabbix, Grafana)

Job requirements:

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Management
  • Experienced with Linux file systems, scripting and Linux Administration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working on AWS Services (EC2, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, RDS) or equivalent public cloud infrastructure (Alibaba, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with MySQL / MariaDB / MongoDB, Docker and Jenkins
  • Experience with web servers such as NginX, Tomcat, or similar technologies
  • Basic networking skills for instance, VPN, DNS, and SSL certificates
  • Basic knowledge in JIRA and/or other product and team management tools
  • Ansible IT Automation knowledge would be an added advantage
  • Highly independent and resourceful and ready with mission-critical technical support
  • Great communicator and able to articulate technical and non-technical details proficiently to the project stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in offshore infra & support teams, extended hours and on-call support during weekends
