They have an unrivalled reputation for their care and diligence in their supply for resellers and international clients worldwide.  

Our respected client is currently looking for a qualified professional, with minimum 10 years’ experience in selling towards Electronics Industry for the job of Key Account Manager.   The job will be based in Penang, Malaysia. The relevant candidate will have a strong business acumen and proven track record of management and bring profitable business to the company.  

Job responsibilities:

  • Identifying and developing new business potential to increase market share.
  • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to enhance market share.
  • Conduct market survey and participate in forecasting and planning of the sales activities and logistic coordination.
  • Managing, developing and supporting the sales team for effective coverage of the sales territory.
  • Visit customers (end-users and resellers) to develop relationships and expand products sales.
  • Build the customer base by identifying new potential end-user customers, make contact with decision makers to introduce the client’s products, and to create demand for our client’s products and services.
  • Build vertical market reseller base by identifying new potential vertical market resellers, make contact with the decision makers to introduce the synergy and collaboration for business partnership.
  • Keep abreast competitor activity and provide proposal and strategy for direct supervisor’s review.
  • Manage business through the network of vertical market resellers to supply the products and ensure fantastic service to the end-user customers, identify gaps and expand network as per business demands.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and management information to the business and to achieve sales targets.
  • Provide quotation to the customers and conducts negotiations.
  • Work closely with the operation team.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development and team management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management/Engineering Qualification (min.) or Equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of the Electronics market.
  • Experience in the MRO market will be highly advantageous.
  • People management skills, including recruiting, developing, performance management.
  • Familiarity in managing both Industrial end-users and agent/resellers.
  • Great communicator as well negotiator and capable of developing sales via cold-calling or face-to-face with the prospective clients.
  • Dynamic, energetic, team player, and result-oriented with positive mind-set.
  • Works independently with minimum supervision and possess strong entrepreneurship mind-set.
  • Show a proven track record on sales action plan and order forecasting.
