Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a leading medical company that sells medical devices and equipment. Our highly respected client is seeking a sales and business development management professional with at least 5 years’ experience selling medical devices or equipment, as well as hands-on experience dealing with distributors and hospitals, for the job of Market Development Manager. The job is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop a keen understanding and engagement of emerging and untapped market segments, e.g. OTC/consumer retail, e-commerce, etc., for our product portfolio.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activity and market trends to form new business concepts.
  • Identify new business/partnership opportunities and develop sound models for management approval, and planning for entry/expansion. 
  • Achieve milestones via strategic selling and channel/project management.
  • Drive innovative pathways for our portfolio including awareness generation, tools (digital and offline) to drive patient awareness and access.  
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders (internal and external), and be an active player in mid-long term planning process.
  • Develop and manage distribution partnerships to maximize our growth opportunities throughout the Emerging Asia region.
  • Develop activities for promotion with partners in conjunction with EA Marketing team.
  • Responsible for all Channel Marketing efforts in both Consumer and Professional channels in the Emerging Asia Region.
  • Coordinate across departments (Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Clinical Education) to ensure project milestones and management of channels.
  • Manage these new channels to achieve performance metrics set out in plans.
  • Solve problems and dismantle roadblocks to ensure accurate, quality and timely execution of initiatives from strategy and planning through to implementation.
  • Ensure business partners are well trained.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and regional teams on portfolio optimization and draw support in implementing business opportunities. 
  • Actively seek to improve knowledge base through stakeholder engagement and attendance of relevant meetings
