Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Philippines is recruiting for one of the leading multinational pharmaceutical companies in the country.

Our client is looking for a Medical Affairs Manager who is a licensed medical doctor and who has experience in Pharmacovigilance. They must be willing to be an individual contributor, providing scientific and medical support to sales and marketing teams, and conduct medical training utilizing a patient-centric approach for assigned therapeutic areas.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide scientific and ethical guidance to marketing managers in the early stages of marketing material development 
  • Review marketing materials to ensure that they are consistent with medical, scientific concepts and are compliant with internal and external regulations 
  • Align with the marketing team to understanding competitor issues and therapeutic area strategies, and communicate commercial messages to stakeholders
  • Respond to internal and external medical inquiries that include: disease information, pharmacology of products, clinical studies, and product information
  • Assess medical information for safety issues and create individual case safety reports as necessary
  • Provide scientific and ethical guidance to marketing managers in conceptualizing programs that will enhance the benefits of pharmacological and non-pharmacological patient interventions 
  • Review contents of patient-centric materials disseminated by specific programs that aim to help patients, family members and communities cope with diseases 
  • Track and keep an inventory of patient support programs and market research programs to ensure compliance with ethical guidance, and monitor for any pharmacovigilance issues
  • Provide the Business Development Unit medical input in evaluating products for potential introduction into the local market
  • Provide medical support to the marketing team during the early planning phase for new products, line extensions, and/or new indications 
  • Work with the CME personnel in planning for medical modules for use in CME activities like round table discussions and expert forums
  • Work with the CME personnel and Therapeutic/Brand Managers in deliberating with KOL and Advisory Board members regarding the contents of medical modules for specific products 
  • Review contents of medical modules, invitations to CME activities, and CME AVPs to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations

Job requirements:

  • Licensed Medical Doctor
  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine is an advantage
  • At least 3 years of knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • At least 1 year of postgraduate clinical experience
  • Must have intense attention to detail, good organizational skills, and  multi-tasking abilities
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Influencing and leadership skills
