Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Vietnam is recruiting on behalf of an international FMCG company. Our highly respected client- a corporation with the operations in over 60 countries and having stable growth in Vietnam market - is seeking a professional with strong sales experience in FMCG industry on nationwide scope of for the role National Sales Manager. The job is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 

Reporting to General Manager, the National Sales Manager will have to demonstrate leadership capabilities, industry and market knowledge as well as commercial and sales expertise. You will lead the organization to further success in the Vietnam market.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Direct and control sales team to drive sales fundamentals, to use effective promotional techniques, to enter new sales channels and therefore accelerate and achieve the sales revenue while maintaining the cost structure.
  • Influence key distributors to push up the activities in their own networking in order to ensure they follow company code of conduct and business ethic.
  • Formulate and execute a clear and effective Sales strategy and direction in line with the Corporation Business Plan.
  • Working with the Director of other department (Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Corporate Communication…) in developing strategies to ensure the consistency and smooth coordination.
  • Coach and inspire the Sales organization to enhance performance, capabilities, knowledge and professionalism.
  • Drive productivity, continuous service improvement and resources optimization to improve costs and efficiency.
  • Perform all aspects of recruitment and selection for the sales department.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Sales/Marketing and/or Business Administration or equivalent. Master degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 15 years professional experience in sales/ trade roles, such as field sales, trade marketing, customer account management etc. in the FMCG industry. At least 5-10 years in Senior/Management role with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate team, resolve conflicts and negotiation, customer service skills
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Communication, Leadership, Team Working skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Vietnamese
  • To be based in Ho Chi Minh City but will require a lot of travelling.
