Sr. Process Engineer, Jakarta  Indonesia

The role is based in the Manufacturing plant and required to lead, new products industrialization

and manage the validation activities throughout the plant. This position is required to

provide process improvements & recommend solutions to increase productivity. The role will be based in the

factory and requires strong collaboration with operations, quality and I&D.

Key responsibilities will include:

Process Development

  • Manage and control the Process Engineering team, validation protocols and reports in accordance to the Validation Master Plan.
  • Working in the factory to increase the Quality Control, Process operators, I&D Chemists and technicians to improve overall quality and efficiencies.
  • Consult with the NPD teams on the feasibility of new formulations to help identify risks in terms of equipment capability as well as risks to product Quality and Safety prior to commercialization.
  • Allocate and organise resources in overseeing pilot and unqualified batches, collaborating with Planning and Operations.
  • Manage and develop robust pre-pilot approval processes and methods of manufacture, collaborating with I&D.
  • Write MOM’s and technical reports to make the transition smooth from laboratory to factory.
  • Carry out validation trials
  • Develop & Maintain KPIs with the key objectives in achieving repeatable results, improving quality, optimising batch efficiency, eliminating unplanned corrections and reducing planned corrections.
  • Validate, review cleaning & sanitisation protocols for new formulations.

Quality Assurance

  • Manage the collection of Right first-time data for KPIs and publish the results.
  • Report, investigate and identify root cause and corrective action for any that require unplanned adjustments that have been qualified. Consult with Quality & Operations on non-conforming and out of spec results.   
  • Review change control related to bulk manufacture to consider where/when validation may be required.


  • Develop and maintain strong a reliable relationship with QC, Operations and I&D.
  • Any reasonable additional duties requested or delegated by your line Manager

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Engineering / Pharmacy

  • Experience in Process Validation and/or Research and Development in the personal care or cosmetics industry. 

  • Understanding of manufacturing equipment, Quality assurance and GMP are desirable.

  • Technical knowledge in cosmetic science/chemistry

  • Product/formulation Knowledge 

  • Test Method Knowledge – bulk and finished goods

  • ISO 22716/GMP principles 

  • Cleaning and Sanitisation principles 

  • Equipment and Process capability
