Monroe Consulting Group Thailand is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing industrial instrument and equipment trading company. Our respected client is seeking a professional with at least 3 years’ experience in project coordinating and technical sale supporting functions for the job of Application and Project Engineer. The job is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

Job Summary:

The Application and Project Engineer will be supporting to fulfill the requirements of the sales and technical teams in Thailand. The Engineer is responsible for project coordinating and technical support on presale and post-sale activities. He or she will generate quotation for customers in the industrial sector. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to fulfill the requirements of the Customer Service team in Thailand by working in a team environment and meeting the assigned tasks and responsibilities as per agreed timelines and service levels.
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditure
  • Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings. Preparing necessary information for meetings.
  • Maintain an organized and accessible file system for administrative and sales professionals
    own the project from the stage sales team receives Purchase order from customer, drive and get project successfully executed by project/service team and local vendors (if involved)
  • Coordinates the involvement of the company personnel, including support, service/project, and management, in order to meet project performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • To do the site survey during initial stage of project with project/service team and involve local vendor (if needed), to arrange project installation /commissioning estimates and documentation to bid project.
  • To identify and evaluate local vendors for cost efficient and quality work for integration projects job.
  • Ensure customer projects are delivered on time as per agreed service level.
  • Act as an enabling bridge between Sales, After Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and customers
  • Assist the Customer Service Manager to manage customer service & expectations and providing day to day support (both proactive and reactive) on any of the issues already referred to, as well as respond to immediate/unusual situations.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Provides Technical Support to Sales team and customers, conducts demos/trials for new products/ applications in coordination with Sales team.

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in Instrumentation/Electronics/Automation or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of project coordination, application engineer, technical support, and sale supporting function.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good interpersonal/ influencing skills would also be required with respect to internal & external customers.
  • Broad experience with industrial sector
  • Work under pressure, making important or difficult decision at work, cooperate with others to achieve a team goal
  • Good English communication, reporting to expatriate.
