Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in the construction industry. Our respected client is seeking an executive with at least 10 years’ experience in Geotechnical Works, Piling, Soil Improvement, Civil Engineering and Construction in the same industry or equivalent for the job of Project Manager. The job is based in Quezon City, Philippines. 

Job Summary:

The Project Manager Manager is responsible for the planning, timely execution and the successful completion in terms of technique, quality, budget, safety and documentation of his projects. 

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Lead its project and project team pro-active and responsible and fulfil project targets
  • Manage the site in the areas of commercial, contractual, technical, safety and quality-related matters
  • Create and execute project work plan, identify and assure necessary resources, ensure complete project documentation and assure legal documents are complete and signed
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and good relationships with customers and clients
  • Assign team members to tasks that utilize their skills in the best way for the project fulfillment
  • Develop the potential of the site team in terms of technology, skills, reaching goals, perusing excellence, motivation and leadership development
  • Manage day-to-day operational work and ensure that the project requirements as per contract and management directive
  • Optimize quality, cost and time
  • Escalate issues which can’t be resolved on-site to superiors and relevant departments timely to assure uninterrupted project work
  • After termination of the project create a project report including technical, quality, safety, budget results in a way that lessons learned can be derived for future projects
  • Identify potential improvement and make constructive suggestions for change

Job requirements: 

  • College / Engineering Degree in Civil Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Geology or equivalent 
  • Must have 15-18 years of working experience and with at 10 years in Civil Engineering, Preferably in Piling, Foundations, & Soil Improvement 
  • Must have experience in OFF-SHORE projects 
  • Analytical, creative and organized
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to respond quickly
  • Knowledgeable in geotechnical work and construction methodology
  • Previously worked abroad
