QHSSES Manager

The position holder will be responsible for QHSSES compliance at all thermal facilities across Southeast Asia; majority of operations are currently in Indonesia. QHSSES manager will interface with all departments to ensure processes and projects comply with relevant internal and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for the update and delivery of Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS), Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) and Integrated Management System (IPM)
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the management system by conducting periodic audits and implementing continual improvement programs
  • Management of the certification processes and related audits certifies all facilities according to the process set by a third-party independent organization
  • QHSSES Manager implements and maintains a quality, environmental, health and safety program involving hazard identification evaluation and control, accident/injury prevention, waste management, emergency preparedness, fire/life safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulatory compliance
  • Providing HSSE leadership, training and operational support to all levels of the organization and across all functional groups
  • Ensure all QHSSE processes and procedures are implemented and standardized across all facilities. Conduct HSSE internal audit periodically
  • Maintains all permits in current and valid condition
  • Manage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and coordinate these with local teams
  • Work on ad hoc projects. For instance, external communications on E&S, such as an annual E&S report and case studies highlighting E&S value addition.
  • Appoint and manage specialist consultants, including for complex E&S due diligence and / or monitoring
  • During due diligence, evaluate gaps against E&S requirements / policies and identify opportunities for value addition.

Experience:

  • Previous equivalent experience with EHS, sustainability and CSR matters (Required)
  • Demonstrable familiarity and track record of QHSSE processes and system implementation
  • Insight into the challenges associated with implementing E&S improvements in our markets (Desirable)

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in QHSSES-related matters; min. 6-10 years.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage and prioritise a busy and diverse workload with a range of deliverables for various stakeholders.
