Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader in manufacturing and supplies of specialty chemicals. Our respected client is seeking a business development professional for the job of Regional Business Development Analyst.

The winning candidate will be providing the sales team with timely and accurate reporting and analysis in order to allow them to monitor performances and execution of plans & initiatives across the region, and to timely take necessary actions / decisions.

Job responsibilities:

  • Assist VP Sales in planning regional marketing and sales strategies, and business reporting for internal and external presentations; present information in an easy-to-understand and timely manner.
  • Collects, consolidates and generates monthly sales reports and data from all sales entities across Asia Pacific.
  • Pro-actively analyses the information with attention to key metrics to support decision making;  particulary explaining and highlighting variances from forecast.
  • Drive the region Sales budget planning and forecasting process: takes the lead in preparing the annual sales budget & forecasts - balancing between local, regional and corporate requirements.
  • Monitor sales data and harmonize group database with the Salesforce CRM system. Responds promptly to varying data analysis and requests from the countries across region or from corporate office.
  • Ensure right data input system, providing full information regarding customers and products in the region.
  • Manage the opportunity pipeline with the sales directors: ensure accurate and up to date data, monitor progression of the sales funnel and compile the top opportunities on regional level. 
  • Performs market research and intelligence.
  • Go-to person for all market data and competitor analysis in the region.
  • Collect, analyze, and periodically report information regarding regional market situation and competition.

Job requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance with minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably from the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and people across diverse cultures.
  • Clarity of thought and able to capture and synthesize information and data from multiple sources.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Good coordination skills for teamwork across time zones and cultures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in another Asian language is desired.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as in ERP/Databases softwares.
