Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a global market leader in a wide range of industrial products, used in manufacturing. Our respected client is seeking a qualified Sales Engineer with at least 4 years’ experience in sales of consumable industrial products to the manufacturing sector.

The successful applicant will be responsible for sales of industrial products, in application of light and heavy manufacturing, typically within building materials, metal manufacturing and electronics among other industries.

Job responsibilities:

  • Understand the market for all product range available to ensure the right product presented 
  • Visit customers (end-users and distributors) to develop relationships and expand products sales 
  • In charge of developing the business and increasing sales for the Central Territory and North of Malaysia
  • Build the customer base by identifying new potential end-user customers, make contact with decision makers to introduce the client’s products, and to create demand for our client’s products and services
  • Close communication with Regional Product Managers and Customer Service team on day-to-day operation following customers enquiry, complaint and delivery
  • Keep abreast competitor activity and provide proposal and strategy for Country Sales Manager’s /Product
  • Manage business through the network of distributors to supply the products and ensure fantastic service to the end-user customers, identify gaps and expand network as per business demands
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and management information to the business and to achieve sales targets 
  • Provide quotation to the customers and conducts negotiations 
  • Follow up for payment & accounts receivables on timely basis

Job requirements:

  • Degree in any related engineering or marketing field
  • At least 4 years’ experience selling industrial products to manufacturing industry is essential
  • Possession of driving vehicle and license is essential. Allowance will be provided
  • Experience selling consumable products to chemical, industrial, mechanical or electric & electronics industry will be a big plus
  • Experience in channel management and direct sales(end user) will be a big plus
  • Language skills in third working language will be a plus
