Executive Recruitment Company Monroe Consulting Group’s Consumer Goods Division is recruiting on behalf of an American multinational organization that has its presence as the leading logistics service provider across the globe.

Our highly respected client is currently seeking a Sales Manager who is a veteran within the logistics industry. The successful candidate will be based in Johor Bahru, expanding and growing the company’s new business across Johor state.

Job responsibilities:

  • Identify & develop qualified leads, convert them through the sales process into prospects and customers.
  • Consistently sustain the sales pipeline full with deals at various types and stages, including fresh/new (qualified) leads/introductions, mid and late stage sales life cycle targets. The ideal sales pipeline will always be full with a wide variety of account types, company sizes, diversified industries, transactional vs. strategic business and services offered.
  • Engage prospects and customers to present the company s services, always furthering relationships up the value continuum towards the advisory (value added role). Advocate for both the company and the customer, striving to find win-win solutions that expand and further client relationships.
  • Performs regular visits to qualified prospects and customers, in accordance with Managements directives, to drive the business and grow the company s revenue, market share and profitability.
  • Able to build relationships at all levels and present to C-level.
  • Conduct business reviews with clients.
  • Manage various administrative aspects when necessary.
  • Update to customer relationship management report /review and prepares/submits all required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Achieve the annual growth targets (revenue, profit, volume) as defined in the sales planner.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and requested by management.

Job requirements:

  • Education background in business/marketing, logistics and/or supply chain management, or relevant fields.
  • Ideally minimum 5 years of experience (plus point if MNC) with the ability to present to C-level.
  • Good working knowledge of freight forwarding services, including land, ocean and air freight (import & export), consolidation, customs brokerage and related value-added information services.
  • Vertical or trade lane experience would be an advantage. e.g., Automotive or Oil and Gas or High Tech etc.
  • Hunter spirit, aggressive, energetic that is always striving for excellence.
  • A unique combination of good interpersonal and communications/presentation skills, both written and oral, coupled with a sharp business acumen and consultative sales approach.
  • Excellent English-speaking ability.
