Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group is exclusively partnered with a global leader in polymer additives. Our client is looking for a Sales Manager for Southern Malaysia, with experience in plastics, specifically engineering plastics and polymers.

The Sales Manager will help maximize long term profitability and success of distribution business in Southern Malaysia.

Job responsibilities:

  • Identify and obtain new principals. 
  • Introduction of new products and roll out into territory. 
  • Agreeing distributed products purchasing price and terms. 
  • Ensure technical support provided to country sales teams. 
  • Manage the roll out of existing principals into new territory. 
  • Maximize sales force effectiveness.
  • Develop strong relationships with key account customers. 
  • Support the sales team in achieving the business plan and through Market Development & Innovation.
  • Actively involved in sales development projects.
  • Gather market information and ensure suitable market analysis. 
  • Setting of sales targets.
  • Work with the sales territories.
  • am and consult superior for critical decisions.
  • Prepare reports on regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Involvement in planning, development of market analysis. 
  • To ensure adequate monitoring and reporting of competitive activity. 
  • To provide an ongoing assessment of current sales and customer service staff for possible advancement.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or Chemistry is a must. Any tertiary education in engineering polymers will also be applicable. 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical or polymers distribution business. 
  • 5 years’ experience in managing a sales team. Other senior management position will also be applicable. 
  • Experience in matrix organization. 
  • Good understanding or plastics, paints, or other polymer applications in industry. 
  • Proven experience working with Accounts and Supply Chain to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Hokkien, Cantonese, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin will be advantageous.
