Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global Christian non-profit organization. Our highly respected client is seeking a Senior Director for Education with at least 10 years' experience in project management for the job of Senior Director for Education. The job is based in Pasig City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

Job Summary:

The Senior Director for Education oversees the general management of the organization's Education program. As an expert in Education to the marginalized underserved, the successful candidate is expected to strategize on the most appropriate and effective means of delivering the organization's education program to ultra-poor families. He/She is responsible for sourcing and maintaining potential partnerships with other relevant agencies or institutions. He/She will provide tactical direction to the organization's National Education team. He/She interfaces with various government agencies and private institutions and supports grant writing for the Education program whenever it is necessary.

Key job responsibilities include:

Education Program Strategies

    • Source and write grants that will support the organization's Education programs.
    • Establish and manage program indicators, including monitoring and evaluation of program impact against set targets.
    • Oversee revision and implementation of Education/Family Academy curriculum, strategies and systems, using the collective company's experience, internationally recognized Education solutions
      • Stay up to date with the latest global reference protocols, current knowledge of options and recognized 'best practices' and innovate to improve protocols
      • Update management on cutting edge innovations for Education issues
    • Provide detailed reporting to management, partners, and donors when requested
      • Submit regular performance reports to the Director of Strategy
      • Escalate any significant issues as needed
    • Manage the Family Academy Program, ensuring that all performance targets are met.
    • Collaborate with the Values, Health and Livelihood departments to ensure synergy of curriculum updates with the program
    • Communicate the vision for the Education team aligned with the company's Mission and Vision.

People Management

    • Oversee the delivery of the Education program via the base team (Family Academy Coordinators) by monitoring performance and problem solving technical and personal issues.
    • Effectively reach out to the different areas of operations to ensure that innovations changes and objectives are properly coordinated and communicated.
    • Build a relationship, trust, and teamwork among the different leaders of operations.
    • Ensure that all members are properly trained and mentored when necessary
    • Promote servant leadership and leading by example.
    • Fulfill each team member’s performance management and evaluation.
    • Promote the company's culture, mission, and vision and values to team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Commitment to Company's ethos and faith background, Christian.
  • Undergraduate and preferably post-graduate degree in Education with relevant experience in managing schools as well as center-based and community-based education programs.
  • Ability to represent the company and the education department to donors, organizations who may provide partnerships and linkages, including local and national government entities.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior role in Project Management or other related roles.
  • Supervisory, leadership, and coaching skills and experience with demonstrated knowledge
  • Excellent communication, data analysis, task management, record keeping, computer proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
  • Qualitative and quantitative research experience preferred.
