Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a leader in pressure and temperature measurement that sets the standard in the measurement of level, force and flow, and in calibration technology within industrial and processing industries. Our respected client is seeking a dynamic and technically experienced sales support professional to oversee the sales operations. The job is based in Selangor, Malaysia. 

The Senior Sales Operations Engineer will be responsible for supporting the sales team in achieving sales targets, customer satisfaction and after sales support. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Assistant Sales Operations Manager. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Understand both individual and departmental expected standards, objectives, targets and commitments of the Organization Sales Charter and ensure they are maintained at all times
  • Provides Application/Product/Compliance/Quote support for customer service, inside sales, outside sales, distributors and Key Accounts
  • Produces and provides technical information to support formal written quotes and special projects
  • Validate and execute sales activity effectively and efficiently from CRM till order execution processes:
    • Clarify customer needs and requirements
    • Check the specification and pricing from relevant sources to ensure the accuracy of quotation
    • Feedback to customer on Request for Quotation (RFQ) within stipulated time frame
    • Validate Purchase order sent by customers against agreed quotation prior generating Sales Order
    • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) to proceed Sales Order
    • Update customers on the delivery date
  • Demonstrate proactive communication to our customers to ensure all opportunities are being taken
  • Provide excellent customer service and build up good relation with customer at all times
  • Serve as a liaison between outdoor sales force, supply chain team and customers
  • Ensure robust quotation follow-ups are carried out accordingly and log details of the follow ups in the Activity fields in the Company CRM System
  • Strive for continuous personal development of product and application knowledge, business operations, and industry standards
  • Provide training for new and existing personnel, using effective tools such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training and meetings
  • Any other tasks assigned by Sales Manager from time to time
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities (if applicable)

Job requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Diploma in Engineering (min.)
  • 3 year’s working experience in measuring technology or related field
  • Able to communicate English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Team-oriented and able to work independently
  • Must have a pro-active, can-do attitude
  • Must have a high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively prioritise and manage workloads
  • Must be organised and skilled in time management
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have experience working either face-to-face or over the phone with customers within an office environment
  • Proficient in MS Words and Excel
