Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group’s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a global leader within the development and manufacturing of speciality chemicals. Our esteemed client is looking for an experienced individual for the job of Site Engineering Manager.

This Site Engineering Manager will ensure all assets are maintained, reliable and operable to the highest engineering standards, ensuring maximum on-line time of process equipment and machinery to enable maximum production output and consistent with company policy and visions on EHS.

Job responsibilities:

  • All duties are to be carried out at all times in compliance with all corporate and EHS, business conduct policies and guidelines. 
  • Accountable with compliance to statutory Regulations, Group Engineering Procedure and company policies. 
  • Accountable with the maintenance policy and strategy that the company assets are maintained within approved budgets. 
  • To ensure Industrial Relations and Personnel issues are involved in a fair equitable fashion to maintain a harmonious and productive workforce. 
  • To recruit, develop and nominate staff and to review the organisational arrangements to ensure the engineering and company objectives are achieved. 
  • To ensure the organising engineering working capital without creating risk to production continuity. 
  • To check, review and endorse the annual maintenance budget for the company each year. 
  • To analyses lost accounting records, high reactive areas, and failure data to develop and implement action plans to eliminate the losses. 
  • Asset care and preservation.
  • Knowledge transfer and career mapping for the engineering team. 
  • Department Succession planning, talent development as well as people sustainability program.

Job requirements:

  • At least 15 years working experience in manufacturing plant with 5 years in senior managerial position and 4 years’ experience in an operating TiO2 plant.
  • Minimum Degree in the Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent level or Mechanical discipline qualification. 
  • He/she must have technical credentials and management authority to challenge and establish thinking and emerging proposals. 
  • Understands business model, marketing and sales strategy. 
  • Benchmarking with other sites and Group practices and operations. 
  • Local standards, work systems and procedures, including EHS, HR, Purchasing and QA. 
  • Leadership, motivation and influencing processes.
  • Good knowledge on Project Management. 
  • MS office functionalities, good presentation and communication skill. Project Management will be added advantage.
