Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a global technology company focused on delivering solutions for cyber security, securing mobility, and identity management. Our respected client is seeking an information technology (IT) professional for the job of Solutions Architect. The job is located in Makati City, Philippines. 

The Solutions Architect will be responsible in providing clear and accurate product demonstrations and support to clients, potential clients, and members of the organization.


Job responsibilities:

  • Updates project templates, publishing templates, workflow diagrams, and project workflows per client requests and specifications
  • Updates reference sheets for script enhancements or bug fixes
  • Monitors and updates project tasks per client requests and regulations
  • Creates custom process steps that represents client processes
  • Updates project process steps referent to client specifications and regulations
  • Creates scripts for better application performance
  • Sets up AWS instances which act as virtual machines
  • Installs/deploys Xacta® Solutions
  • Sets up S3™ buckets via AWS™ console account which acts as virtual storage
  • Installs HostInfo™ service for data collection
  • Installs the Xacta® proprietary Extensible Publishing service as a publishing tool
  • Installs Xacta® Continuum® as an automated continuous monitoring tool
  • Facilitates online trainings for cyber security, NIST, and other regulations and security-related information and issues specifically as used on Xacta® solutions
  • Creates documentation of technical processes including installations, upgrades, and other technical processes used
  • Prepares progress reports
  • Conducts client presentations locally or abroad
  • Responsible for assisting in the establishment of our IT Architecture practice, and the adoption of popular architecture and standards methodology
  • Manage activities that take place during solution ideation, design, and implementation
  • Review business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs – Request for Information, RFPs – Request for Proposal, or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution
  • Communicate the architecture to clients, collaborate and coordinate with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of standards and procedures
  • Directly assist in the development of departmental roadmaps and project portfolios for Xacta® systems architecture
  • Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership
  • Develop and execute solutions which further reduce the percentage of time spent on reactive work
  • Provide analysis of security protection technologies as necessary
  • Convert complex technical infrastructure and data processes to simple and descriptive visual diagrams
  • Extends support to other development teams and attend meetings, as required
  • May report on non-regular working hours, as needed
  • Prepares reports (daily and weekly status updates, incident and ad hoc reports, as required)

Job requirements:

  • Advanced programming skills (C/C++, Java, Phyton)
  • Advanced knowledge of OOP and ORM frameworks
  • Advanced knowledge of .Net architecture, .Net framework Class Library, .Net Metadata, .Net Programming, Common Language Runtime, Common Type System
  • Advanced knowledge of Web Service Design and Development, Database communication and inter-application communication such as SOAP and REST APIs and the like
  • Ability to construct web applications and APIs is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge in creating inter-application middleware
  • Advanced knowledge of creation and implementation of design patterns
  • Advanced knowledge of unit testing (frameworks)
  • Advanced knowledge of the concepts of version control
  • Advanced knowledge of distributed and secured apps
  • Advanced knowledge of data sources and data access frameworks
  • Advanced knowledge of workflow development and design
  • Advanced knowledge of the concepts of build and deployment
  • Advanced knowledge of internet services (POP, FTP, HTTP)
  • Advanced knowledge of Messaging (MQ, GE, JMS) concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of tools and IDEs for front end and back end development
  • Advanced knowledge in leading cloud-based platforms, specifically AWS, Azure or Google cloud
  • Advanced knowledge in basic networking architectures and implementations both on cloud and on premise

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
  • With 2-3 years’ experience and with a strong-IT background
  • Preferably with a background in Information Security and/or Regulatory compliance
  • Must be willing to travel frequently
