Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a global consumer goods company. Our respected client is seeking a seasoned supply chain director with solid knowledge in sourcing, procuring, and planning for the job of of Supply Chain Director. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia

The incumbent will oversee logistics management activities, driving the coordination of processes and activities across the Sales, Product Design, and Finance departments. This position will drive the FU S&OP process, execute decisions and resolve Supply-Demand gaps. Furthermore, they are responsible for Services, Customer Collaboration and satisfaction, Inventory and its Impact on Working Capital, NPD and Commercialisation. 

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee global sourcing, demand planning, forecasting, and all other global supply chain and procurement functions 
  • Lead end-to-end Customer Supply Chains, including: Commercialisation/Product Portfolio Management (product development and phase in/out), Customer Service and Logistic Account Management, Demand Planning, Warehousing and Logistics (Distribution), Supply Planning, Material Planning and Scheduling 
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders in the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) process, driving optimal supply/demand alignment 
  • Oversee and optimise forecast planning and inventory management of products, both internal and acquired through agreements 
  • Establish and implement inventory policy and material risk mitigation strategies 
  • Recommend changes to practices and procedures to support compliance with key local and global regulations affecting the business 
  • Manage issues of a diverse scope, where analysis of the situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
  • Drive optimisations (Service/Inventory/Margin/Profit) aligned with agreed KPIs
  • Provide advanced expertise and knowledge in complex areas of specialization

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain
  • Masters in related field or MBA preferred 
  • Demonstrated and recognised expertise in at least 3 of these SC pillars: Customer Service, Customer Logistic, Demand Planning, Warehouse and Logistic, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement
  • 10-15 years in leadership positions developing and leading global sourcing, warehouse & logistics, procurement & supply/demand planning functions 
  • Strong financial and business acumen 
  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma 
  • Creative, transparent and adaptive in a constantly evolving environment
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must work well in collaborative situations
