Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of one of Malaysia’s highly reputable quick service, fast food restaurants. Our highly respected client is currently seeking an executive of the highest professional standing in the retail and consumer goods industry for the job of Vice President Operations. The job is based in Singapore.

Job summary

To provide leadership for the Singapore business in achieving its vision and key initiatives, in line with the company’s overall goals. This position will be reporting to the Deputy President, Operations.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Review the Company’s performance continuously versus the business plan and the Company’s long-term strategy
  • Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand; conferring with people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing financial, marketing, and sales projections, analyses, and estimates.
  • Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the
    stakeholders
  • Develops Company’s prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities, projecting acquisition and expansion prospects, analysing Company’s operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems to support and to measure necessary aspects of operational performance, management and development
  • Oversee Operations Department by monitoring, directing and providing strategies for operational management and development to meet operation's standards and business plans
  • Liaison with other business division in understanding all necessary aspects and needs of operational development, and to ensure they are fully informed of operational objectives, purposes and achievements

Key job requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Finance/ Management or professional qualification. Master’s degree in either of these fields will be an added advantage.
  • At least 10-15 year(s) of working experience in a general management role. Preference given to those from F&B background
  • Substantial exposure and skill in creating and analysing financial reports and budgets
  • Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes management and business office operations
  • Excellent understanding or project management principles
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem solving abilities
  • Have proficient leadership, organisational and supervisory skills
  • Ability to see the “big picture” and help implement the company’s strategy as team player
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/issues
  • High level of performance with uncompromising standards of integrity
  • An energetic go-getter, motivator and creative individual with high work ethics
