Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical company in Indonesia. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10-15 years' experience in Sales Chemical for the job of Sales Manager - Coating. The job is based in Jakarta.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Strong experience in handling wet-end industrial process and chemicals involved in coating industry
  • Responsible for establishing Indonesia business strategy according to guidelines set by global and regional managers.
  • Responsible for identify customer needs, sales opportunities, implement sales and market strategies, develop and conclude profitable business for the accounts responsible in order to meet the sales targets.
  • Responsible for establishing the market intelligence, creating customer profiles, identify new potential customers in the assigned area in order to achieve a high degree of market transparency.
  • Responsible for managing dealers in the responsible area in order to have a clear understanding of the dealers' activities and make sure it is in line with the company business strategy and also minimize the inter competition
  • Responsible for the A/R controlling monitor closely the outstanding payment in order to minimize overdue and risks of bad debts from the responsible accounts.
  • Responsible for stock controlling in order to ensure non-disruptive supply to the customer and meet the set target of running stock and slow-moving stock.
  • Seek and develop potential customers (formulators, end-users and dealers) and new opportunities in order to widen the base and keep profitable business.
  • Handle complaints from the responsible accounts and coordinate closely with technical services in order to enable settlement with customer in the most appropriate way

Job Requirements:

  • University or Technical College graduate of polymer science/chemistry/coatings or any related school background.
  • At least 6~7 Years commercial experience of selling waterborne resins, thickeners, additives to coating industry with great and provable performance.
  • Good understanding of coating market. Commercial knowledge/experience related to paint, ink will be plus.
  • Good business networking and commercial sense.
  • Good self-initiatives and highly motivated to overcome all kind of challenges to get things done. Result-oriented and energetic characteristic.
  • Good communication skill and team spirit. Able to work with others from different cultures.
