Farm Manager

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of the business entity of a global leader in construction industry. Our reputable client is currently searching for Farm Manager who is amenable to work in a day shift, onsite work arrangement. About the role: Manages the farm agricultural aspects i.e., nursery, development, harvesting and maintenance. Ensures that the farm produce is delivered to the mill at the earliest possible time. Opens and maintains roads. Ensures that farm animals and equipment are well[1]maintained. Controls farm budget and cost. Key responsibilities include: Farm Development Manages the preparation of the farm for the development activities from clearing, staking and lining, holing, hauling of seedlings and the planting/replanting. Prepare budget for the development activities. Plan-out the activities to determine the timeline. Determine the number of seedlings needed for planting/replanting. Coordinates with the Nursery for the delivery of seedling for planting and replanting. Coordinates with the Trucking group for the available vehicle to transport the seedlings. Determine the number of manpower needed and facilitate the hiring of these manpower. Manage the conduct of maintenance and fertilization activities of the crops until their productive stage Production and Delivery Efficiency Production Volume Quality Cost Delivery Time Fertilization Maintenance Prepares farm profile showing the: Area No of hills Year planted Variety Prepares annual farm budget in terms of maintenance and fertilization programs. Conducts bunch census to determine the expected production volume and the effectiveness of the fertilization and maintenance programs. Establish harvesting and tapping areas to be assigned to the respective harvesters and tappers. Establish harvesting and tapping schedules/cycles of areas within the farm. Manages the status of compliance to these schedules. Establish routes and schedules of in-field haulers to ensure that the daily produce are hauled to the pick-up stations for delivery to the loading ramps/ storage areas. Monitors the daily harvests and coordinate with the Truckmaster the pick-up schedule for delivery to the mill. Coordinate with the mills on the status of deliveries in terms of delivery time and volume to assist the mills in their mill schedules. Coordinate with the mills' QC groups in terms of the quality status of the delivered farm products. Participates in action plans to improve the quality of delivered products. Inspects condition of roads and provides feedback to the Road Maintenance Team for needed repairs. Farm Equipment and Housing Maintenance Maintains an inventory list of all farm equipment and animals used in the farm. Ensures that all farm equipment and animals are well-maintained. Ensures that the preventive maintenance of all in-field haulers and skylines are performed. Ensures that standards for livestock (horse) raising are followed. Risk Management and Continual Improvement Ensures agricultural practices and standards are in place and performed. Analyzes, manages, and mitigates risks that the farm may encounter. Plans ahead to prevent problems and resolves any emerging ones. Conducts investigations for issues and incidents to prevent recurrence, using acceptable problem-solving tools. Tools and supplies inventory and control. Leading and Organization Manages assigned supervisors and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Participates/Facilitates regular team meetings to discuss issues, share knowledge, share achievements, provide training and direction. Implements regular toolbox meeting. Attends training and development activities. Provides feedbacks on the learning for possible adaptation of the team. Personally follow health and safety protocol. Its product portfolio includes wheel loaders, soil compactors, motor graders, and track-type tractors, and it also provides customized machines and power solutions to its customers. Our esteemed client's office is located in Quezon City. Job Summary: The Business Unit Head is responsible for providing a safe work environment, meeting customer requirements, managing sales and servicing with quality control. Additional responsibilities include creation and delivery of capacity, capital, and financial plans, creating an environment of continuous improvement through the company's principles, development of employee skills, succession planning, and communication of organization direction and alignment of the workforce to goals. The position will directly report to the General Manager.
