Leading Recruitment Company Attends Indonesia Fintech Festival and Conference 2016

  • Publish Date: Posted 超过 7 年之前

Consultants from executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia rubbed shoulders with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and foreign royalty at the recent Indonesia Fintech Festival and Conference 2016. Organised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the conference brought together stakeholders in the financial technology industry, including regulators, financial institutions, investors, start-ups, incubators, industry associations, recruitment companies and academia.

Tina Nugraheni, the head of Monroe Indonesia’s Technology Division, said the recruitment of executives or technical staff was a major issue for most companies operating in the financial technology industry, which was expected to hit Rp 105 trillion (US$8 billion) by 2018, up from $900 million in 2008.

“As with a number of other sectors in Indonesia, the fintech industry has been impacted by a shortage of qualified executives and other professionals, which is limiting growth,” Tina said.

Tina said that the lack of talent had seen enhanced collaborations between traditional financial institutions and digital-based fintech companies.

She said that a recent survey by the Indonesian Fintech Association and Deloitte showed that a number of new partnerships had been announced to increase growth in the sector.

“Deloitte believe that new industry players want to collaborate rather than compete with existing service providers,” she said. “This is because of struggles faced by many companies when it comes to executive-level recruitment.”

Tina said all seven of her technology recruitment consultants attended the important event, which was graced by an appearance by Jokowi, as well as Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.

“We always attend industry events, particularly conferences where it is clear that companies are facing issues in terms of executive recruitment,” Tina said.

“Monroe is an international-award winning recruitment company that has been operating in Indonesia for more than a decade,” she said. “We have successful, ongoing relationships with many of the main technology companies in Indonesia, both multinational and national businesses, and we are excited by the growth of this industry.”
