Monroe Chile eyes expansion in Latin America

​Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group has big plans for Latin America.

After a record year for Monroe Consulting Group Chile, the company has indicated that it intends to replicate the successful Monroe Group business model in South and Central America and continue its global expansion.

Monroe Chile Managing Director Felipe Hirschberg, speaking in the executive recruitment agency’s plush new offices in Santiago, said that given the success of Monroe in Chile and Mexico it was time to grow to support regional businesses.

“The consolidation of the Monroe brand in Chile after four years of operations is part of Monroe's plan to build a solid network of offices in the Latin American market as a natural growth of the business within emerging markets in the world, replicating the good results of the company in Asia,” he said. 

“Monroe's experience in both Mexico and Chile is only the first step in opening new branches in LATAM [Latin America] that will allow us to give regional support to our clients.”

Asked about Monroe Chile’s record year, Mr Hirschberg said the financial results were a culmination of the agency’s efforts to position itself within the recruitment industry in Chile as a “high quality and extremely reliable executive search company.”

“This has been positively reflected in the growth of the company, constantly increasing our team of consultants, as well as doubling our sales year after year, reaching in 2018 a record of placements and profits for the company.”

Mr Hirschberg said the company was planning to double the number of headhunters in 2019 to keep up with the demand for executives or highly technical specialists for Chilean and multinational clients in Chile.

“The office move was needed to accommodate the next phase of growth,” he said.

“The Monroe Chile team has begun a new phase in 2019 with new offices that will allow us to continue providing a high-quality service to our candidates and clients and a sustained growth in our team of consultants for the coming years.” 

Mr Hirschberg said the company was always seeking to hire new recruitment consultants, saying the company provided superior training and mentorship programs.

“Recent graduates with two to three years’ experience in a particular industry and an aptitude for sales make excellent headhunters.”

He said recruitment consultants made good money, worked in a fun industry and did a job that had a positive impact on lives.

“Working in the recruitment industry is a very enriching and formative experience for young professionals,” he said.

“It gives you the opportunity to become an expert in your industry of interest, to absorb the knowledge of executive professionals, as well as helping you strengthen your interpersonal, sales, negotiation and recruitment skills.”

He said Monroe offered prospective headhunters, “the opportunity of a national and international career, and to be part of a challenging and multicultural work environment, with constant training to grow professionally and become an expert in the recruitment industry, obtaining excellent economic results in the way.”
