Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia’s specialised Technology Division attended the inaugural Google HackFair Indonesia, an event that showcases the best developer projects using Google technology.
The high-profile event in Jakarta on Dec. 5-6, 2015, gathered developers, engineers and technology enthusiasts to display their latest technological advancements. The Google HackFair also featured exhibitions, talks and classes (codelabs) where visitors could experience new, advanced technologies.
Monroe Indonesia Technology Division recruitment consultant Adeline Wu said the Google HackFair Indonesia was yet another reminder of how the American multinational company that specialised in Internet-related services and products was impacting on so many lives is such a positive way.
“Visiting Google’s event was a reminder for how technology has helped make our lives so much easier,” Adeline said. “The event showcased a number of seriously cool applications and technological advancements supported by Google. On top of that, there were a number of senior industry people sharing knowledge at the codelabs, which helped educate and boost interest in the technology sector.”
Adeline said of primary importance to Monroe, however, was meeting a number of key technology executives to discuss the ongoing shortage of talent in a number of areas in Indonesia and ways companies operating in Indonesia could secure professional executives for crucial jobs.
“Monroe regularly attend industry events for two primary purposes,” Adeline said. “First, our consultants pride themselves on staying on top of the latest industry trends and developments generally, which adds to our ability to do our jobs as recruiters, which is the second primary purpose.”
