Monroe Consulting Group Philippines Appoints new Managing Director

Monroe Consulting Group has announced that Ross McKenzie has been appointed managing director of the international award-winning executive recruitment company’s operations in the Philippines. Monroe, a specialist in executive-level recruitment in emerging economies in the Asia-Pacific, launched in the Philippines in 2007.

McKenzie has worked in recruitment in Southeast Asia for almost 20 years. Prior to joining Monroe Philippines, he held four country manager positions, one of which was in Singapore and three of which were in Malaysia.

“I’ve worked throughout Southeast Asia and working in the Philippines has always been a strong desire, even more so now given the strength of the economy and the demand for mid- to senior level executive professionals,” Mr McKenzie said.

He said he had long admired Monroe Consulting Group, which had won multiple international accolades and excelled in executive recruitment in the Technology, Industrial, Consumer Goods, Health and Professional Services industries.

“The growth of the Philippines’ economy and the recruitment of hard-to-source professionals matches Monroe’s strengths, particularly in the areas of technology, construction, infrastructure, retail, consumer goods and health,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to helping Monroe become even more successful in these key areas.”

He said one of the things that set Monroe apart from its competitors in executive recruitment was the company’s dedication to the training and development of its individual consultants, who were each specialists in their respective industries.

“The in-house training and development is second-to-none with an emphasis on ensuring that consultants are experts in their fields and abreast of the latest developments in their respective industries and the wider economy,” Mr McKenzie said. “This means that we are able to place the best candidates in the best jobs with leading companies.”

He said Monroe’s superior understanding of the recruitment marketplace meant the company could best manage a candidate’s sometimes unreasonable salary expectations or provide pertinent advice to client companies about the true cost of hiring.

“This extends to the wider salary package, which job title they should use, peak times to hire and peak times for doing business,” he said. “We concentrate on working as a strategic human resources partner with our client companies and recruiting the high value, mid- to senior-level employees that are needed to establish or grow their businesses.”

Monroe, which has flourishing recruitment operations in China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Chile and Mexico, won Global Recruiter Magazines Best Small Recruitment Business in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and Best Overseas Operation in 2013 and 2015. It was named a finalist in the Best Small Recruitment Business, Best Overseas Operation, Best In-House Training and Best Client Service categories in 2016. It has again been nominated in the Best In-House Training and Best Small Recruitment Business in 2017.
