Fifteen human resources executives, most at the HR director level, gave glowing reviews of executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia’s first breakfast discussion meeting in Jakarta. The discussion was on the impact of digital transformation on human resources (HR).
The three guest speakers were Sondang Saktion from OLX Group, Sandy Wiwanto from AirAsia and Pramoda Dei Sudarmo from McKinsey and Company.
With the theme of The Role of Human Resources as a Strategic Business Partner in Enabling Digital Transformation, the executive recruitment company’s event was held at the plush Ayana Midplaza Jakarta.
Tina Nugreheni, who oversees both the Technology and Industry divisions with Monroe Indonesia, said a number of companies in Indonesia mistakenly believed that human resources was a support and administration role, which was “not the case.”
“HR executives play an integral role in the transition of companies embracing digital transformation in a number of industries, including in the industry and consumer goods industries,” Tina said.
“That was the purpose of the event, to allow leading human resources executives to share their knowledge and experience with others.”
Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia Country Manager James Palin said the executive recruitment company was well placed to play a key part to further industry knowledge about not only recruitment and human resources management but also about specific industries.
“In Indonesia, we lack these types of events and have an amazing vehicle in Monroe to be able to facilitate, bring people together and create a platform to learn, educate and inspire,” he said.
“To not rely on transactional business only and this was warmly received.”
James encouraged human resource leaders to follow Monroe Indonesia’s multiple social media accounts to stay abreast of industry changes and for details about future events.
