Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a distribution company in the energy and power solutions sector. Our client is seeking an Accountant for a hybrid work arrangement based in Balintawak, Quezon City, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible in preparing accurate, complete, timely and relevant financial reports of the company. And will be expected to provide regular strategic financial analysis and recommendations. This role will report to the company's President thru the Senior Accountant.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Reports - Prepare accurate, complete and timely financial reports to help guide decision making.
- Tax Reports - Prepare accurate, complete and timely tax reports to ensure compliance to government mandates. Reports should be signed off as the designated CPA of the company.
- Budget Preparation & Monitoring - Develop, analyze and maintain budgets including comparing budgeted versus actual.
- Strategic Analysis and Recommendation - Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Recommend further improvements as well.
- Coordination - Ensure the timely and correct processing of all matters related to the above through the various personnel of the organization. This may include the month end closing, reconciliation schedules, financial and management reporting and other various general accounting tasks.
- Other tasks may from time to time be assigned in accordance with the exigencies of the business, within the employee's department, within the company, as well as other companies within group which aligns with the scope of this Job Description.
Key Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy,
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum 2-3 years combined work experience in various key areas of accounting and/or finance - with at least 1-2 years relevant and actual experience as CPA
- Experience in handling government compliance (BIR/SEC/City Hall)
- Exposure in presenting, reporting and interacting with all levels including the President and the Board of Directors
- Must be trustworthy, transparent and with strong sense of ethics
