Our respected client is seeking of solid knowledge in all general and cost accounting for the position of
Accounting Supervisor. The job is based in Alabang, Muntinlupa, Philippines.
Job Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations for our business unit. This role will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, manage key accounting processes, and lead a team of accounting professionals. The supervisor will play a crucial role in the month-end close process,
financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key job responsibilities include:
Financial Operations Management:
- Supervise and review a wide range of accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of accounting clerks and specialists. Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and conduct performance reviews to foster a productive and collaborative environment.
Month-End and Year-End Close:
- Coordinate and execute the month-end and year-end closing processes. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time and prepare supporting documentation and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Conduct variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies between actual and budgeted financial results.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Uphold and enforce company financial policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems. Support the implementation of new software or process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Experience with ERP systems like Dynamics 365 is a plus, based on other Hoya job postings.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other professional accounting certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in an accounting role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or senior capacity.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience working in a multinational company is an advantage.
