The Role

On behalf of our client, we're looking for an Assistant Manager Public Affairs, where you will be at the forefront of our client's engagement with government and industry.

Responsibilities

  • Building Strong Alliances: Develop and nurture relationships with government officials and industry associations to effectively represent the company's position and enhance its corporate reputation.
  • Strategic Analysis: Analyze policy, legislative, and political developments to identify potential impacts on the business and recommend strategic actions to address them.
  • Policy and Messaging: Craft compelling corporate positions and talking points for external engagements. Your work will be crucial in creating a favorable policy environment that supports the company's commercial interests.
  • Project Leadership: Assist in managing key Government Affairs projects, including Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, while also overseeing administrative and substantive reporting.

Skills and Background


To succeed in this role, you should be a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive individual with:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, project management, or public services.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of Indonesian government rules and procedures.
  • Communication: Excellent bilingual communication skills in both English and Indonesian are essential.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as political science, international affairs, or journalism.
