Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading digital finance platform in Southeast Asia. Our respective client is looking for a Compliance Manager who will oversee the company's regulatory compliance framework, ensuring full adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards. This role will be reporting to the President and, with onsite work set-up and is located in Pasig City.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between the company and the SEC, fostering professional and high-trust relationships with regulatory officials.
- Lead and coordinate timely responses to regulatory inquiries, show-cause letters (SCL), formal notices, and compliance directives.
- Manage regulatory examinations, including on-site inspections and surprise audits, ensuring proper documentation and representation of the company.
- Proactively identify potential regulatory risks and address them before escalation.
- Oversee timely preparation and submission of all periodic and reportorial requirements to the SEC and other relevant government agencies.
- Ensure renewal and continuous maintenance of lending licenses and corporate registrations to guarantee uninterrupted authority to operate.
- Monitor, interpret, and implement new regulatory issuances (e.g., interest rate caps, capital adequacy requirements, disclosure standards), translating them into internal policies and procedures.
- Advise senior management on governance best practices and regulatory impact on business strategy.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews and internal audits to ensure lending operations, collection practices, and marketing materials adhere to the Financial Consumer Protection Act (FCPA) and other applicable regulations.
- Develop and maintain compliance monitoring programs, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
- Provide compliance training and guidance to operational teams to strengthen regulatory awareness.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management and recommend improvements to internal control systems.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or any related degree.
- At least 5 years work experience in compliance functions and at least 3 years managerial role.
- Must be proactive, highly responsible, and detail-oriented, with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
