Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company in chemical additives and advance materials. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 20 years' experience in chemical for the job of Country Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Report directly to Regional APAC Director
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed the sales targets and business objectives for the additives and advanced materials sector in Indonesia.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Sales Process Management: Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring efficient and effective sales operations.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide two direct reports, ensuring their professional development and performance alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strategic Leadership: Oversee all company operations in Indonesia, ensuring alignment with global strategies and local market needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments including marketing, technical service, supply chain, and finance to ensure integrated efforts towards business success and customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with Lubrizol's policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial performance of the Indonesia business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the business operations in Indonesia.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports and forecasts, analyse performance metrics, and present findings and recommendations to regional and global senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of sales experience in the chemical or additives industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Board experience is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of the chemical additives and advanced materials market in Indonesia.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
