Senior Manager, Engineering | Hotel, Bangkok

On behalf of a global leader in hospitality, I am conducting a confidential search for a pivotal leadership role within their flagship Bangkok property. Our client is a household name in travel, synonymous with exceptional service and a portfolio of the world's most sought-after hotels and resorts.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will be the strategic guardian of the hotel's physical assets. You will command a sophisticated engineering operation, ensuring that every corner of this landmark property-from guest suites to grand ballrooms to critical back-of-house systems-functions flawlessly and delivers an unparalleled guest experience.
This role transcends day-to-day maintenance; it is about future-proofing a legacy.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute the hotel's comprehensive engineering strategy, managing a significant operational budget (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) plan. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a large team of technicians, supervisors, and specialists.

  • Spearhead a world-class preventative maintenance program to ensure asset longevity and minimise downtime. Drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives across all major utilities (Water, electricity, HVAC), directly impacting the hotel's P&L.

  • Take full ownership of all renovations, refurbishments, and special projects. You will manage contractors, timelines, and budgets to deliver transformative upgrades with minimal disruption to hotel operations and brand standards.

  • Ensure the property adheres to all local regulations, fire and life safety protocols, and the stringent global brand standards our client is famous for. You will be the ultimate authority on facility, safety, and integrity.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in hotel engineering management, with a demonstrable track record within an internationally branded hotel environment.

  • An academic background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering is highly preferred.

  • Proven expertise in managing large-scale CAPEX projects, from conception and ROI analysis through to final execution.

  • Exceptional financial acumen with hands-on experience managing complex budgets and P&L statements.

  • An unflappable leader who thrives under pressure and can communicate complex technical issues with clarity and confidence to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in the Thai or Southeast Asian market is a significant advantage.
