Our respected client is seeking a highly skilled Head of Accounting and Administration who thrives in a fast - paced and small manufacturing environment. Based at their cutting-edge facility in Rayong, Thailand

This Head of Accounting and Administration will oversee all commercial and administrative functions at our manufacturing plant in Rayong. The ideal candidate will be a versatile, hands-on leader, capable of independently managing finance, accounting, purchasing, customer service, and HR functions, while ensuring compliance with Thai regulations and aligning with international company standards. This role will be based in Rayong, Thailand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure financial integrity and compliance with local regulations and corporate standards across all commercial activities.
  • Lead the financial planning process, providing oversight of accounting functions to guarantee accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain effective cost control measures and ensure proper internal controls are in place.
  • Ensure all financial reporting meets both Thai legal requirements and corporate governance standards.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence standards to streamline purchasing, customer service, and general office administration.
  • Continuously assess and improve administrative workflows and processes to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including managing vendor relations, negotiating key contracts, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices.
  • Supervise the fulfillment of customer orders, manage export activities, and address any customer service complaints or issues in a proactive and effective manner.
  • Provide leadership to the administrative team, guiding department heads in accounting, purchasing, and customer service.
  • Promote a culture of staff development through training programs, coaching, and career growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the HR function to support workforce planning, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that aligns with the company's values and corporate culture.
  • As a key member of the plant's management team, participate in business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager to ensure alignment between order handling, customer service, and overall business objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between local operations and global management teams, ensuring that local business practices align with international standards and best practices.
  • Represent the company to regulatory authorities, government agencies, and external stakeholders, including the Board of Investment (BOI), Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), Customs, and the Revenue Department.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local legal, reporting, and regulatory requirements, including handling audits and official inspections.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring high standards of collaboration and upholding the company's reputation in all dealings.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Multiple years of progressive experience in administrative/financial management roles, ideally within manufacturing environments (chemical, automotive, or related sectors), CPD is required.
  • Experience in managing multi-functional teams in a small-to-medium-sized manufacturing company is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams, setting goals, and fostering employee development.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, financial management, and auditing processes.
  • Familiarity with procurement, supply chain management, and customer service operations.
  • Experience with developing and implementing policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence.
  • High levels of integrity and a strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), enabling effective interaction with both local and international teams.
  • Strong presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Adaptability to work in a small, international manufacturing environment, where flexibility and collaboration are key.
